Theme:	“On the fast track to a bright future”
Location:	Levelland High School 1400 Hickory (Alamo & Hickory)
Date:	Saturday, November 7, 2009
Objective:	•	Select a wide variety of foods from My Pyramid and follow the principles of the 2005 Dietary Guidelines.
	•	Understand the principles of food and nutrition as they relate to health and appearance.
	•	Adopt and apply the latest practices and research findings in the project area to everyday project experiences and work.
	•	Acquire and demonstrate skills in planning, purchasing, storing, preparing and serving tasty, attractive, nutritious and safe meals and snacks.
	•	Learn about vocational choices and career opportunities and preparation related to food and nutrition.
	•	Share knowledge gained with others.

Fee:	$10 per entry
Entry Deadline:	Food Show report forms and recipes need to be in the District Office no later than 9:00 a.m on October 30, 2009. Entry and payment should be made through 4-H Connect by October 27, 2009.
