Objective:



Select a wide variety of foods from My Pyramid and follow the principles of the 2005 Dietary Guidelines.
 
Understand the principles of food and nutrition as they relate to health and appearance.
 


Adopt and apply the latest practices and research findings in the project area to everyday project experiences and work.
 


Acquire and demonstrate skills in planning, purchasing, storing, preparing and serving tasty, attractive, nutritious and safe meals and snacks.
 


Learn about vocational choices and career opportunities and preparation related to food and nutrition.
  Share knowledge gained with others.

Fee: $10 per entry

Entry Deadline:

Food Show report forms and recipes need to be in the District Office no later than 9:00 a.m on October 30, 2009.

Entry and payment should be made through 4-H Connect
by October 27, 2009.
